Gov. Sanwo-Olu attended the 22nd National Women's Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).
The edition tagged "SPRING FORTH, STAND OUT" is a clarion call for women to reinvent themselves in the face of the "new normal" that we find ourselves.
This platform has created an opportunity for women across our nation to network, gain and share knowledge, while also proffering solutions to issues of concern particularly to women development.
He identified the annual conference as a celebration of vision, and genuine concern demonstrated by the initiator, Late Mrs. Obafunmilayo Mobolaji Johnson, and which was successfully rebirthed twenty-two years ago, by our own mother, and distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, former First Lady of Lagos State.
He also appreciated the mother of the day, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, the Special Guest of Honor, His
Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, for gracing the occasion, and for his kind endorsement, former Governor of Ekiti state, H.E Governor Ayodele Fayose.
Also, the First Ladies of my fellow Governors, the esteemed wives of other Lagos State Officials and women in Politics, and of course, women from the private and public sector, for
buying into the vision of this laudable platform.
And finally, he congratulated Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on People with disability, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal. Congratulations on winning the award of the "Inspirational Woman of the Year".
