The Governor of Lagos officially commissioned and jointly delivered the "Greater Lagos LBIC Apartments" by the Lagos Building Investment Company PIc (LBIC) and RPDC Limited.

According to Governor Sanwo-Olu;

“The commissioning and handing over of this project are testament to our commitment towards providing affordable housing to the good people of Lagos State.
In our quest to provide decent yet affordable accommodation to the people of Lagos State, we have, in close partnership with the private sector, delivered more than 3,526 housing units across the State.
Our expectation is that within a couple of months, we should be able to commission other LBIC housing projects at Amuwo-Odofin (318 Units), Obele-Oniwala (360 Units), Olaleye, Iponri (64 Units), Ikeja (132 Units); as well as commercial malls at Lekki and Ikeja. These are in addition to the many other projects that have the involvement of the Lagos State Government, through the LBIC's agencies.
It is also indeed my pleasure to announce that the 14 families that were displaced because of the construction of the Agege-Pen Cinema Bridge, will now be accommodated under this scheme, and that flats will be allocated to them at no cost at all. I am indeed glad that their impression that the promise of restoring them to the place they had resided for over 30 years would not be fulfilled was proved wrong today.
