Governor Commissions Infrastructure Launched By Senator Adetokunbo Abiru

The Governor of Lagos commissioned some

infrastructure projects initiated by Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, of the Lagos East Senatorial District. This was facilitated

by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammad Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.

Also, the Oluwo Fish Market was redeveloped to house 240 open stalls, 80 lock-up stalls, five open trading areas, 12 convenience facilities and 4 new offices for market leaders.

A 960-capacity sports and recreational facility, comprising of a football pitch, basketball and volleyball courts, administrative offices and change rooms were also commissioned.

Additionally, financial grants were given to 1,250 market women and traders in the Lagos East Senatorial District, while 200 rural farmers were given manualplanters and financial support, to enable them expand the vocation of their choice.

At the event, the Governor also implored the Epe residents concerning the ongoing reconstruction of the Eleko to Epe T-Junction.

He said,

I assured them that construction works on the highway remained on course and would be scaled up to meet the completion deadline.

l also informed them that the ongoing rehabilitation of Oke Iwo-Marina Road in Epe town would be completed and commissioned in the next two months, the contract for the construction of Mosafejo Road in Agbowa has been awarded, therefore works will start earnestly.
