Grit knocks out failure

Many times, the automatic response to hardships is to admit defeat, in other words, throw in the towel. Be it in business, marriage, schooling, or whatever area of life. We see this unfold almost every day.

Why is giving up easily an option?

Success or failure starts from the mind. Mindsets determine a lot that happens in reality because the patterns birthed in the mind are what manifest in reality. You are what your mind is.

Giving up is easily an option because most people in these positions have already accepted defeat even before they began the journey.

If you accept defeat on your way to fulfilling your goal, then defeat is imminent.

Truth is, every once in a while, it is normal to lean towards giving up. But whilst it might be a well-embraced norm , it is ordinary to give up. If you want to stand out, if you want to have an impact and be unique, then you have to keep going. Now, this is where grit should come in.

Grit is courage, resolve, and the drive to not settle for less by giving up. Grit keeps you on your feet, even when everything else strives to keep you down.

Chris Bradford said it right, “Anyone can give up; it is the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone would expect you to fall apart, now that is true strength.”

Grit is what makes you an Edison or a Steve Jobs.

Life and challenges go hand in hand, but if you want to overcome them, you need to employ grit. So, when is the right time to give up? The answer is NEVER. Keep going, a lot is riding on the vision you carry and the influence you need to birth.
