UK Diaspora (OGA) Opens Vocational Centre In Eva Adelaja Girls Sec. Sch.

I had the honor of opening the new vocational center at Eva Adelaja Girls Secondary School, GRA Ikeja, made possible by the Old Girls Association United Kingdom, led by the president, Hon. Afolashade Ope, among others.

The altruistic diaspora organization invested over N30 million into sustainable infrastructure for the developmental growth of the students. A total of 12 sewing machines, 2 air conditioners, and a solar power system were donated to the new vocational center in the school. The Old Girls Association also made a donation to the Gbagada General Hospital.

The youth are our future, and as the Head of the Lagos State Office of Diaspora Affairs (LASDA), I celebrate the UK-based Old Girls Association and encourage other diaspora organizations to keep investing in the youths in Lagos and Nigeria.

This investment of a vocational will undoubtedly empower and equip our young girls with life-changing skills.

I truly am glad to see such efforts and social investments made by the diaspora aligning with the THEMES + vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's of #AGreaterLagosRising.
