Jermaine Sanwoolu: A Diaspora Leader and PR Expert
Jermaine Sanwoolu is a Nigerian-British public relations and leadership consultant, who currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Lagos State Governor / Head Of The Lagos State Office Of Diaspora Affairs (LASDA) which he pioneered. He envisioned and conceptualized LASDA when he previously served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Diaspora and Foreign Relations from 2019-2023.
He is also first cousin to Mr governor, Babajide Sanwoolu
Jermaine Sanwoolu has a rich and diverse background in real estate being a registered Estate Surveyor & Valuer. He has an interest in the real estate business and in media having set up DiasporaNews.ng and running a social enterprise TheDreamFoundation.ng.
He started his career in the real estate and banking sectors in Nigeria, before moving to the United Kingdom, where he worked as a business consultant, financial protection adviser, and youth development officer.

He founded Diaspora PR Ltd in 2014, a company that provides media and publicity services to clients across the world, especially in the African diaspora. He has worked with several prominent personalities and organizations, such as the Nigerian High Commission in London, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and the House Committee Chairman on Diaspora Affairs, Hon Rita Orji

Jermaine Sanwoolu is a passionate public speaker, and management trainer. He has won several awards and recognitions for his contributions to community development, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and leadership. Some of his awards include the African Diaspora Champions Award, the Emerging Leader Award at the International Achievers Recognition Awards, the Entrepreneur of the Year at the Ann Shine Awards UK, the Nigerian Centenary Award Winner – Top 100 Nigerians in the UK, and the Best Young Leaders Award at the BEEFTA Awards UK

As the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Diaspora and Foreign Relations, Jermaine Sanwoolu is responsible for facilitating and enhancing the engagement of Lagosians in the diaspora with the state government. He also promotes the interests and opportunities of Lagos State in the international arena. He is a moderator for the Creative, Sports, and Education sectors at the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit 2021

Jermaine started his work experience on an Industrial attachment in 2005 in the valuation department of Diya Fatimilehin & Co. Estate Surveyors & Valuers
Served in 2008 in Ogun State Property Company (OPIC), first in the admin department, and was moved to the real estate marketing department where he had record achievements.
He moved on to work in the Human Resources department of RMS TNS a leader in the research and development industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He also worked in the E-learning unit of the Human Capital Development department of one of Nigeria’s leading banks; Skye Bank Plc.
