This implies a significant need to improve access to quality education. However, many young Nigerians are turning this around by seeking educational opportunities both within and outside Nigeria.

The first step is to focus on your primary area of interest or expertise. Perhaps you're a software developer, a healthcare professional, or a budding environmental scientist.

Whatever your field, there's always room for improvement.

Consider pursuing a higher degree or professional certifications. Platforms such as Coursera, Udemy, and LinkedIn Learning offer a wide array of online courses, many from top global universities, that you can leverage to enhance your knowledge and skills.

English proficiency is another essential skill for most countries. As a Nigerian, you already have an advantage because English is the official language in Nigeria. However, if you're eyeing countries where English isn't widely spoken, consider learning their language. Apps like Duolingo and Rosetta Stone can be useful resources.

Remember, your potential destination country may also have specific skills they're in need of. For instance, Canada has its National Occupational Classification (NOC), which lists jobs in high demand. If your skills align with these, your chances of migration could be higher.

As you continue to improve and expand your skillset, always document and showcase your achievements. Build a solid LinkedIn profile, maintain an updated CV, and collect references and recommendation letters. These will be your evidence of competence when you start your visa application process.
